Two cars are traveling on a desert road between three consecutive poles, as shown in the figure. After 5.1 s, they are side by side at the next telephone pole. The distance between the poles is 68.9 m. Find the displacement of Car A after 5.1 s. Answer in units of m.

    There's no info about the cars starting off differently, so as far as we know they have been side by side all the way.

    So from the last telephone pole:

    (a) and (b) : the displacement of both cars is 65.5m

    the average speed for both car is 65.5m/5.0s = 13.1m/s
