Since Box A is standing upright on its corner its mass is distributed evenly as well as Box B, but like I said "if it were to bend, shake ext." Box A would most likely lose its place and topple over. While on the other hand Box B is at rest aligned with the ground if you will, it will most likely be represented as a stable system. Think about it, if you were to shake the ground you would hardly realize Box B moved from its place, while Box A will fall over into Box B's place.
