Fossil fuels are materials from the earth that can be burned to create energy (they also happen to be the world's main energy source at this moment) ! Fossil fuels are formed over time from dead animals and plants that have decayed and exposed to heat and pressure under the earth's surface. Some examples include coal, crude oil, and natural gas.
