Why must a scientist use standard units of measure in experience and work

    If a scientist says, "I measured a horse, and it was 20 hands tall," then other scientists will know the exact height of the horse if hands is a standard unit of measurement. However, if the term hands can mean a lot of different things depending upon whose hands are used, then other scientists will not know the height of the horse as accurately so that is your answer
