When striking, the pike, a predatory fish, can accelerate from rest to a speed of 4.2m/s in 0.15s. How far did it move during the strike?

    We can solve this by a simple multiplication

    The fish can get within 4.2 m in 1 second

    so in 0.15, the distance would be:

    1/4.2 x 1/0.15

    = 1.587 m
