A catcher stops a 0.15-kg ball traveling at 40 m/s in a distance of 20 cm. what is the magnitude of the average force that the ball exerts against his glove?

    Acceleration = (v^2/2d) = (40^2/0.4m) = - 4000m/s^2

    f=0.15*4000=600N
