You load an arrow into a bow and pull the bowstring back. 50m. The bow has a spring constant k=2000N/m. What is the potential energy of the bowstring?

    Potential energy = 1/2 (spring constant) (distance from equilibrium) 2

    = > U = 1/2 * 2000 * 50 * 50

    => U = 2500000 Joules
