During a softball game, a shortstop catches a ground ball. The action force is the ball pushing on the glove. What is the reaction force?

    The reaction force is equal and opposite in direction to the action force, according to newton's third law. In this case, the reaction force is the one coming from fielder's hand and pushing onto the ball.
