Calculate the weight in newtons of a 2.4-kg melon. express your answer to two significant figures and include the appropriate units.

    Since mass given is 2.4 kg. We know that W=mg where m is the mass of the objects which g is the gravitational acceleration on surface of earth. So we get w=2.4 * 10=24N
