To simplify a fraction, we have to divide the numerator and the denominator by the same number. In this case, both aspects of the fraction are divisible by 9.
When we divide the numerator by 9 we get 3
When we divide the denominator by 9 we get 7
So, the simplest form of 27/63 is 3/7
