If a bicyclist starts from a resting position and reaches a speed of 10 meters per second in 40 seconds, what was his acceleration during this time? assume he accelerated in a constant way.

    Acceleration (magnitude) = (change in speed) / (time for the change)

    = (10 m/s - 0 m/s) / (40 sec)

    = (10/40) m/s²

    = 0.25 m/s²
