In a typical lightning strike, 2.9 c flows from cloud to ground in 0.18 ms. what is the current during the strike?

    Current = (charge) / (time)

    = (2.9 C) / (0.18 ms)

    = (2.9 C) / (0.00018 sec)

    = 16,111 Amperes! (but it doesn't last long)
