What is the current in a 75 W light bulb that

is plugged into 120 V household outlet?

    75=240*I

    L=75 / 240

    I rms = 0.3125 A

    Power = (voltage) x (current)

    Divide each side by (voltage):

    Current = (power) / (voltage)

    I = (75) / 120 = 0.625 Amperes = 625 mA
