    Decibels are a unit that is used to measure the intensity of sound of sound, so yes this would be true.

    To think а bout: A chainsaw produces around 80-110 decibels as well as lawn mowers, the Human voice is normally about 20-50 decibels. Car horns are about 100-110 decibels, too.

    (So the next time someone's blowing their horn at 3:00 AM in the morning, you can feel free to finally tackle that crab grass without any additional annoyance to the neighbors)
