What is occurring when a light wave goes through a pane of glass in a window?

absorption

transmission

constructive interference

destructive interference

    Mostly transmission. A small amount of absorption on the way through, and a small amount of reflection at both surfaces. If the glass is exactly the right thickness, and has the right optical coatings, then there's constructive and destructive interference for certain wavelengths. We don't worry about these things for windows.
