A street lamp weighs 200 newtons and is supported equally by two wires that form an angle of 120° with each other. What is the tensional force in each of these wires?

    Explanation:

    then use sine rule

    200/sin120 = T1/sin30 = T2/sin30

    T1 = T2 = (200*sin30) / sin120

    T1 = T2 = 115 N
