how much force does the motor of an elevator need to exert to hold a 1000 kg elevator still if the counterweight weighs 7000 newtons?

    f=ma+mg g=10ms⁻²

    ma=7000N

    mg=1000*10=10000N

    f = 7000+10000

    F=17000N

    or 17KN
