The equation below can be used to find the specific heat capacity of a substance. Work out the specific heat capacity of a substance if it takes 5200J of energy to heat 2kg of it from 42°C to 47°C

    ΔT = Δt = 320 °K - 315 °K = 47 C° - 42 C° = 5 °K

    c = Q / (m · ΔT) = 5,200 J / (2 kg · 5 °K) = 5,200 J / 10 kg °K = 520 J/kg °K

    c = 520 J/kg °K
