If the mass of an object is 100kg and the acceleration due to gravity is 9.8m/s^2 what is the weight of the object

    recall that weight = mass x acceleration due to gravity = mg

    given that m = 100 kg and g = 9.81 m/s²

    weight = mg = 100 x 9.18 = 981 N
