The insulation in an old house is able to hold in 12,000 J of the 36,000 J that were used to heat it up. How energy efficient is this insulation?

    As in put energy is 36000J

    Out which it gives or holds 12000

    Now,

    As we know efficiency is output/input * 100

    Then,

    12000/36000=0.333*100=33.33%
