Star clusters are group of stars. They appear to be a fuzzy patch in the sky when seen naked eye. When seen through a telescope one might see individual stars in them. These clusters contain millions and billions of stars which are closely bound with each other. There are two types of it namely open and globular.

In Globular clusters, old stars are tightly packed. Millions of stars revolve around same center of gravity. They will appear as a fuzzy patch even when seen through a powerful telescope as the distance between two stars is very less. Example: Omega Centauri Globular Cluster

In open clusters, younger stars are packed in together. These stars are loosely bound with each other. They are thought to be born out of the same nebula and are now moving away form each other. Example: Beehive cluster.
