    600Watts

    Explanation:

    Power is defined as the rate of change in work done and work is said to be done if a force is applied to cause an object to move through a distance.

    Mathematically Power = Work done/Time

    Since work done = Force * Distance

    Power = Force * Distance/Time

    Given mass = 30kg

    Force = ma = 30*10 = 300N

    Distance = 20meters

    Time = 1second

    Substituting this values in the formula we have;

    Power = 300*20/1

    Power = 600Watts or 600J/s

    Therefore, the amount of power needed for the water pump for this fire hose is 600Watts
