    The math club needs 25 uniforms for girls and 10 uniforms for boys.

    Explanation:

    To solve this problem we must follow every step of the statement

    We raise each of the incognites:

    B = boys

    G = girls

    The first equation:

    B + G = 35

    And the second equation; using the expression "there are 5 more girls than twice the number of boys in the club".

    G = 2*B + 5

    Now we replace in the first equation:

    B + (2*B+5) = 35

    B + 2*B + 5 = 35

    3*B = 30

    B = 10

    and

    G = 35 - 10

    G = 25

    Therefore, the math club needs 25 uniforms for girls and 10 uniforms for boys
