    Explanation:

    The current in the coil is induced due to electromotive force (emf) which in actual is a potential difference developed in the coil. This induced emf in the coil is due to the rate of change in magnetic flux.

    Magnetic flux is the number of magnetic field lines per unit area. The rate of change in magnetic flux can be due to the relative motion between the the magnetic field (source) and the looped area of the coil. This is possible either due to the moving of coil or due to the motion of the magnetic field producing source.

    The emf in the coil can also be produced by keeping it in the proximity of increasing electric current and as we know that every current carrying coil produces a magnetic field around it which is proportional to the magnitude of current through the conductor.
