1 kg of aluminum requires 887 J (Joule) to raise its temperature by 1 K (Kelvin). The specific heat of aluminum is expressed as (J / (kg*K)). For a 100 g aluminum bar, how much energy is needed to raise the temperature from - 9oC to 1oC?

    The amount of heat required

    H = m x c x ΔT

    H = 0.1 x 887 x 10 = 887 J
