A 1.5 kg orange falls from a tree and hits the ground in 0.75s. What is the speed of the orange just before it hits the ground?

    Answer: 7.35 metre/second

    Explanation:

    According to first equation of motion for falling body Vf = Vi+gt

    Initial velocity Vi = 0, gravity g = 9.8, time t = 0.75s

    Final velocity just before it hits the ground Vf = 0 + (9.8) (0.75) - -> Vf=7.35m/s
