The atmosphere of Venus contains carbon dioxide and nitrogen gases. At the planet's surface, the temperature is about 730 K, the total atmospheric pressure is 98 atm, and the partial pressure of carbon dioxide is 94 atm. If scientists wanted to collect 10.0 moles of gas from the surface of Venus, what volume of gas should they collect?

    volume of gas is 6.10 L

    Explanation:

    Given data

    temperature = 730 K

    pressure = 98 atm

    pressure = 94 atm

    gas = 10 moles

    to find out

    volume of gas

    solution

    we will apply here formula that is

    PV = n RT

    here P = 98, n = 10, R = 0.082 and T = 730

    put all these value we get Volume v

    Volume = 10 (0.082) 730 / 98

    volume = 598.6 / 98

    volume = 6.108163265

    so volume of gas is 6.10 L
