    The atomic number would always be 3, or the element would change entirely. You could deduce the number of neutrons to 2 making it lithium-5.

    Lithium-5 has 3 protons, 2 neutrons, and 3 electrons.

    An isotope of this atom would still have 3 protons and 3 electrons. It is the number of neutrons that changes. For that u would have to have the mass number of the atom since p + n = ma, therefore ma - 3 = n
