    Given that;

    A source charge S

    Is at a 1 unit distance from another charger q

    The force between S and q is given by columbs law;

    F=k*q*S/r^2

    F = K*q*S/1

    F = KqS (this is the force between charges q and S)

    Also charge between S and P at 2 units distance is

    F=K*P*S/r^2

    F = K*P*S/2^2

    F=KpS/4

    Hence 4F=KpS (This is the force between p and S)

    It can be seen that 4F=4kqs=kpS
