What happens when sodium Hydroxide reacts with Hydrochloric acid?

    When Sodium Hydroxide reacts with Hydrochloric Acid, it can be represented by the chemical equation below:

    NaOH + HCl - > NaCl + H2O

    So Sodium Chloride and water will be formed.

    As we know that when base react with acid to form salt and water. This type of reaction is known as Neutralization reaction.

    When Sodium Hydroxide reacts with Hydrochloric acid to form Sodium Chloride and Water.

    As a result of neutralization reaction Sodium Chloride and Water is formed.
