the reaction of ammonium perchlorate is as follows.

    2 NH₄ClO₄ = N₂ + Cl₂ + 2O₂ + 4H₂O.

    235 g 72 g

235g ammonium perchlorate gives 72g water

    5.9 g ammonium perchlorate gives (72/235) x 5.9 = 1.807 g
