A quantity of a gas has an absolute pressure of 400kPa and an absolute temperature of 110 degrees Kelvin. When the temperature of the gas is raised to 235 degrees Kelvin, what's the new pressure of the gas?

    Intially, we have:

    Pressure P1 = 400KPa

    Temperature T1 = 110Kelvin

    When,

    Temperature T2 = 235 Kelvin

    Pressure P2=?

    We have gas equation:

    PV = nRT

    P/T = nR/V

    Considering nR/T as constant, we have:

    P1/T1 = P2/T2

    400/110 = P2/235

    P2 = 854.5 KPa

    So the new temperature will be 854.5 KPa
