Electrotherapy can be used for both acute and chronic pain. This very useful when conventional medicines are not as affective. The main purpose of electrotherapy is to relieve muscle pain and it can also repair tissue damage. Although electrotherapy is generally safe when performed correctly, you should not use it if you have certain skin conditions or certain heart conditions.
