A bird sits on a branch. It takes off, accelerating at 1.1m/s/. If it travels for 2s, how far has it gone

    D=Vot+1/2at^2

    Since it was sitting on a branch, its initial velocity is 0 so d=1/2at^2

    Subsituting in time and acceleration gives

    d=1/2 (1.1) (2^2) = 2.2m
