The launching velocity of a missile is 20.0 m/s, and it is shot at 53° above the horizontal. What is the horizontal component of the velocity at launch?

    Given that

    velocity (v) = 20 m/s,

    angle of missile (Θ) = 53°

    Determine, Horizontal component = v cos Θ

    = 20 * cos 53

    = 12 m/s
