The initial velocity of a car moving on a straight road is 2.0 m s^-1 and becomes 8.0 m s^-1 after travelling for 2.0 s under constant acceleration. What is the acceleration?

    Explanation:

    change in velocity

    8m/s - 2m/s

    =6m/s

    then divide by the time

    6m/s : 2.0 m/s

    therefore the acceleration is

    3m/s^2
