Explanation:
In carbon tetrachloride, chlorine and carbon are bounded with each other by single covalent bond. Carbon atom contains eight electrons in outer shell and chlorine atom also have eight electrons, so they are completing their octet by the sharing of electrons with each other.
Covalent bond is forming by the overlap of orbital, in CCl4 overlap is occurred so it is a covalent bounded compound. Formation of Ionic compounds occurs when two opposite charged ions interact with each other by electrostatic interaction such as NaCl, Na having positive and Cl having negative charge.
So, the answer is covalent bond.
