    IV - paper clip amount

    DV - amount it flies

    Control - I don't know this one

A scientific experiment is designed in a way that it should test all the variables - independent, dependent and control variables.

The independent variable can be manipulated and changes with the time on its own or manually. The dependent variable s he variable which is tested in the experiment and the constant variable is kept the same throughout the experiment.

The control in an experiment is a group of samples in which the variable to be studied is not included and this acts as a reference to the experimental setup.

    Therefore in the given question,

    1. Independent variable - the number of clips added

    2. Dependent variable - the distance covered by the paper plane

    3. Control: not mentioned in the question.

    4. Constant: the applied force on the place.
