If gravitational forces are pulling the planet into its sun, why is it still revolving around its sun? Why doesn't the star just fall into its sun? What law of gravity explains this?

    Due to the speed of the earth revolving around the sun, it cannot fall into the sun and also cannot escape the sun's orbit.
