What would be the result if the atmosphere was unable to move and exchange gases with Earth's other spheres? The temperature on Earth would remain warm and habitable. The wind would be a lot stronger due to the increase in the Coriolis Effect. The planet would most likely be lifeless and desolate. The greenhouse effect would no longer warm the planet.

    Answer: The planet would most likely be lifeless and desolate.

    Explanation:

    Life on Planet Earth exists due interaction of Biosphere, Lithosphere, hydrosphere and atmosphere. Most of the weather takes place in lower atmosphere. Motion of air is responsible for water cycle, nitrogen cycle, carbon-cycle etc. The motion of air maintains the temperature on Earth otherwise there would be extreme temperatures in majority of the parts of the Earth making it lifeless.

    Thus, without the movement of atmosphere and exchange of gases with other spheres, life would not be possible on Earth and Earth would become desolate.

    There are four Earth's spheres: the geosphere, hydrosphere, biosphere and atmosphere.

    The spheres interact with one other. For example, plants (biosphere) produce oxygen (atmosphere) from carbon dioxide (atmosphere).

    Substances in different spheres are recycled and turned into other phases and forms. This is important cycle and without that, there is no life on Earth.
