Increasing the amplitude of the oscillation has no net effect on the period of a spring.

    Explanation:

Increasing the amplitude increases the restoring force (force which acts to bring a body to its equilibrium position) of the spring or pendulum. This increase in force increases the mass's acceleration, causing it to travel a greater distance in the same amount of time.
