If you take a ball of moist clay and throw it against the wall it will stick. However, if you take a handful of clean sand and throw it against the wall it will just fall to the floor. Explain these two behaviors.

    This has to do with the intrinsic property of both materials

    Explanation:

    Clay : clay when wet exhibit an elastic property which makes it particles stick together and to some surface it comes in contact with. This explains why clay can be used in moulding.

    Clean sand: which has little or no elastic properties tend to separate easily because the forces binding it particles are very loose. Hence it will not stick with the wall
