    8.94m/s²

    Explanation:

    Acceleration is defined as the change in velocity of an object with respect to time. Mathematically,

    Acceleration (a) = change in velocity (∆v) / time (t) where;

    Change in velocity (∆v) = final velocity (v) - initial velocity (u)

    a = ∆v/t = v-u/t

    Given v = 100mph u = 0mph since the vehicle travels from 0mph to 100mph, t = 5seconds

    Since 1mph = 0.447m/s

    100mph = 44.7m/s

    Substituting this values in the formula given we have;

    a = 44.7-0/5

    a = 8.94m/s²

    Its acceleration is 8.94m/s²

    The formula to find accerelation is:

    Accerelation = change in velocity:change in time

    the change in velocity here is: 100mph

    the change in time is: 5 seconds

    a=100:5 ms

    a = 20ms-2
