Gravitational force is responsible for the position of the earth in the solar system, its revolution around the sun and the tide on the earth. The atmosphere of the earth is also consistent due to the gravitational force.

    Explanation:

Gravitational force despite being the weakest fundamental force in nature plays some significant role in the universe and the earth.

The position and revolution of the earth in the solar system. The tides on the earth are the result of gravitational force of sun and the moon. The atmosphere on the earth is consistent and stays on the earth due to the gravitational force of the earth.

In spite of being the weakest of all the forces, the gravitational force plays a significant role in the universe. The gravitational force can be simply defined as the force that is responsible for attracting two distinct objects comprised of a definite mass.

All the object that are present in space exerts a force or which is commonly known as the gravitational pull, on each other, as a result of which gravity plays an important role by controlling the paths that is maintained by all the objects that are traveling through space.

This gravitational force behaves like a glue that is responsible for holding the enormous galaxies, where the sun is located at the center of the solar system and all the planets and asteroids revolves around it.
