What did Newton theorize about the universe as a result of observing an apple falling from a tree to the earth?

A.

Any object of any mass pulls other objects toward it anywhere in the universe. The earth had a force that attracted the apple and the apple had the same force that pulled the earth toward it.

B.

The farther away from an object another object is, the weaker the force between them until gravity disappears from the universe altogether. The higher the apple is on the tree, the weaker the force of gravity between the apple and the earth.

C.

Larger objects pull smaller objects toward them anywhere in the universe. The earth's gravitational force pulled the apple from the tree toward the earth's center of mass.
