    A) t=?

    h = v1 (y direction) * t + 1/2 g*tt

    78.4=0 * t + 1/2*9.8*tt

    78.4 = 0 + 4.9 tt

    tt=t (squqre) = 78.4/4.9 = 16

    so t = sqrt16 = 4 sec. the time needed to hit the ground.

    B) how far = x = ?

    x = v (horizontal) * t = 5*4 = 20 m.
