Today, Earth's magnetic field is losing approximately 7 percent of its strength every 100 years. If the

strength of Earth's magnetic field at its surface is 0.5 gauss today, what will it be 100 years from now?

    It would be 0.5-0.5*0.07=0.5-0.035=0.465 gauss.
