A cyclist turns a corner with a radius of 37 m at a speed of 22 m/s. What's the cyclist acceleration? If the cyclist and cycle have a combined mass of 90 kg, what is the force causing them to turn?

    The cyclist will be experiencing centrifugal acceleration:

    Acceleration = m*v²:r

    Where:

    m = mass

    v = velocity of cyclist

    r = radius of the corner

    Acceleration = 90*22²:37 = 1177.3 m/s²
