Why is it that when a steadily flowing gas flows from a larger diameter pipe to a smaller diameter pipe, what causes the pressure in the smaller pipe to drop?

    The thing that makes a gas a gas and a liquid a liquid is the spacing between the molecules. Since gas is widely spaced, making the molecules go closer together would make it a liquid
