Static discharge (shocking when leaving your car for example) occurs more frequently in humid weather?

    No, static discharge occurs more in dry weather than humid. In humid weather the static charges that are built are more easily dissipated into the air because of the moisture. In dry weather you are more likely to be shocked as it is harder for the charge to dissipate.
